Stork Mini Short Story Competition!

Christmas is coming and we are launching our Stork Mini Short Story Competition! Celebrating publication of our 4 books this year and the first year of Stork Press we are delighted to announce our first Stork Mini Short Story Competition.

 

 

Theme: Abstract Christmas

Word count: maximum 600 words

Deadline for submissions: Monday, 3 December 2012, 9am

And since our motto is publish and be damned we are not looking for the next Charles Dickens. Think Quentin Tarantino.

All nationalities and translated fiction are eligible as long as the story is in English.

The winner and 3 shortlisted authors will receive 4 books we published this year and all stories will be published on our blog.

The winner will be announced during our Stork Press Christmas Party on Thursday, 13 December in London. The winner will also receive a bottle of champagne but must attend the event in person to receive it.

 

How to enter:

Submit your story on the theme ‘Abstract Christmas’ to editor@storkpress.co.uk with the subject line ‘Abstract Christmas’. Please submit your full name and a short biography. Please make sure the text is double spaced, Times New Roman Font 12 in Word.

Word count: maximum 600 words, there is no minimum.

Deadline for submissions: Monday, 3 December 2012, 9am.

All nationalities and translated fiction are eligible as long as the story is in English.

If the story is translated please provide the name of the translator together with your submission.

Only one story can be submitted per entrant.

Entrants must be of minimum 18 years old.

Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must be never been published or self-published anywhere else.

The judges’ decision is final and no individual correspondence can be entered into.
