Stork Mini Short Story Competition shortlist announced

We are proud to announce the shortlist of the Stork Mini Short Story Competition. The selected stories have shown originality and visual imagination that made them stand out for the judges, Joanna Zgadzaj and Nancy Roberts of Stork Press and writer and translator Julian Evans.

The winner will be announced on Thursday 13 December, during the Stork Press Xmas Party. The winner and shortlisted authors will receive 4 books we published this year and all four stories will be published on our blog. The winner will also receive a bottle of champagne, but must attend the event in person to receive it.

Julian Evans is a writer and a translator from French and German, who was chair of English PEN’s Writers in Translation committee until 2010. He wrote and presented BBC Radio’s acclaimed 20-part series on the European novel, The Romantic Road, and has been awarded the Prix du Rayonnement de la Langue Française by the Académie Française. His most recent book is Semi-Invisible Man, the authorised biography of the writer and adventurer Norman Lewis.
